More of Melbourne's Great Coffee and Dining Spots

If you want to stop being a hater of Mondays, start blogging! I love Mondays as its when I recap what we got up to on the weekend, and because of the blog I put in more effort to make sure the weekend is full of fun things.

Like having dinner at home on a Friday night. Usually it would be a thrown together meal, this week it was tacos and espresso martinis! Minimal effort really but so much more exciting than the usual.

Saturday night for dinner we went to Rice Queen on Brunswick Street with the bro in law and his bride to be. I was hesitant, Urbanspoon reviewers really had not been kind to this place (both for food and service). Did we go to a different restaurant?!? We found the service to be fantastic! As we were dining with a sufferer of egg allergies, we had to ask lots of questions and the staff were very prompt and informative. And the food! Korean fried chicken (spicy), Korean tacos (pork, lettuce, pickles), fried gyoza crips, and the desserts! Our taste buds were as far away from disappointed as they could be!

St Ali North up on Nicholson Street, Carlton North was the venue for our Sunday coffee. Not really on Nicholson Street, it’s behind the bike store and I would say it was located on Park St. An awesome space, there is plenty of room here either inside or out and plenty of greenery to provide a little zen. The coffee was brilliant (as was to be expected) and the piece of candied apple on top of the maple apple cake was a highlight. Can’t wait to go back for more coffee here now that it’s a little closer to home.
